These tiles were saved from a home in Spain, so they may show small marks from their years on a wall. The photos show this exact lot.
About this lot
70s vintage tiles from Spain. 6 pc set Original SALVAGED tiles from the early 70s , made in Italy, using fine white clay. Typically 70s geometric fat lava - brutalist design in brown and orange on a creamy white background. "Bubly" or "crater-like" finish. Some small blue dots on the design.
Good general condition. The tiles are "rescued" from a kitchen renovation in a village close to Barcelona. They may have some small chips on the paint along the sides.

What is Fat Lava?
Fat Lava is the name collectors gave to the thick, bubbly glazes of the 1960s and 70s. The glaze stands up from the tile like cooled lava, so each one catches the light a little differently. Here you will also find heavy brutalist tiles with deep texture and marbled glazes.
