Terms of sale
These terms apply when you buy tiles on vintageandantiquetiles.com. They explain who we are, how buying works and what your rights are. Please read them before you order. Last updated: 6 October 2026.
Who we are
The shop is run by Artevolution LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. We run the shop and send every order from Barcelona, Spain. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Artevolution LLC, and "you" means the person buying.
- Address: 500 4th Street NW, Suite 102 - 2333, Albuquerque, NM 87102, United States
- Email: artevolution70@proton.me
What we sell
We sell original vintage and antique Spanish ceramic tiles in small lots. Most lots are one of a kind. A lot can be:
- Used or salvaged: tiles that were laid or used before.
- Old unused stock: tiles that were never laid, but are still decades old.
Old tiles show their age. Small chips on the edges, light scratches, small marks from the way they were made, and small colour differences between tiles are normal. We describe and photograph the condition of every lot, so please look at all the photos and read the description before you buy.
Colours can look a little different on different screens. If you're unsure about size, colour or condition, email us before you buy and we'll help.
Old tiles were not made to today's standards. Please check with a professional that they suit what you plan to do with them, for example floors, outdoor use or use near food.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in euros (EUR).
- Shipping depends on your lots and where they're going. The cart shows the shipping cost and the total before you pay.
- You pay on a secure payment page run by Stripe, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store them.
- If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may charge a fee.
- Outside the EU, your country may charge import duties or taxes when the parcel arrives. See Shipping & returns.
How buying works
- Add the lots you want to your cart.
- In the cart, choose where to send your order. You'll see the shipping cost, the estimated delivery time and the total.
- Press Checkout. You go to Stripe's payment page, where you enter your name, email, phone number, shipping address and payment details. You can check and correct everything there before you pay.
- When your payment goes through, your order is placed and our contract is made. You see a thank-you page, and we email you a confirmation with your order number.
- When we ship, we email you the tracking number.
Orders are made in English. We keep a record of every order, and you can ask us for a copy of your order details at any time.
Lots that are also on Etsy
We also sell our lots in our Etsy shop. Very rarely, the same lot may sell in both places at almost the same time. If that happens, we'll email you straight away and refund you in full for that lot, including the shipping you paid for it.
Purchases made on Etsy follow Etsy's rules and our Etsy shop policies, not these terms.
Shipping
We ship from Barcelona to Spain, the rest of the EU, the US and the rest of the world, always with tracking. Your tiles travel at our risk until they reach you: if a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, we sort it out. Full details are on our Shipping & returns page.
Your right to change your mind (14 days)
If you buy as a consumer, you can cancel your purchase without giving a reason. This is your right of withdrawal (in Spanish, derecho de desistimiento). You can use it from the moment you pay until 14 days after you, or someone you name (not the carrier), receive the tiles. If your order comes in several parcels, the 14 days start when the last one arrives.
This right applies to vintage, used and salvaged lots too. Being second-hand doesn't change it.
We give the same 14 days to all our customers, wherever they live.
To cancel, use our withdraw from contract form. How to cancel, who pays return postage and how refunds work are explained on our Shipping & returns page.
If something is wrong: the legal guarantee
As a consumer, you also have a legal guarantee (garantía legal). We are responsible if, when you receive it, a lot doesn't match its description and photos, or isn't what you could reasonably expect from tiles of that age and history. For example: fewer tiles than listed, or a chip or crack that we didn't describe or show.
- Old unused stock: 3 years from delivery.
- Used and salvaged lots: 1 year from delivery. Spanish law allows a shorter period for second-hand goods, but never less than 1 year.
Signs of age that we describe or show in the photos, or that are normal for tiles of that age, are not a fault. The guarantee doesn't cover damage after delivery, for example from cutting, laying, cleaning or normal wear.
If you find a fault, tell us as soon as you can. Most of our lots are one of a kind, so we usually can't repair or replace them. You can choose:
- matching tiles, if we have them,
- a partial refund, or
- a full refund when you send the lot back.
When a lot is faulty or not as described, we pay the return postage. The guarantee is free, and it is on top of your right to change your mind.
Buying for a business
The right to change your mind and the legal guarantee above are consumer rights. If you buy for a business, such as a design studio or a building company, they don't apply to you in the same way by law. If something is wrong, get in touch and we'll do our best to sort it out.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for what we promise in these terms and for what the law says we must do. We are not responsible for losses we couldn't have foreseen, or for problems caused by how tiles are cut, laid or used after delivery. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer.
Questions and complaints
If you're not happy, email us at artevolution70@proton.me and we'll reply as soon as we can. Most problems are easy to sort out together.
- You can ask us for an official complaint form (hoja de reclamaciones).
- If we can't agree, you can get help from a consumer office, such as your local consumer office (OMIC) in Spain, or the European Consumer Centre in your country for cross-border purchases.
- We don't currently take part in a consumer arbitration scheme.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of your own country's consumer laws that can't be set aside by agreement. You can take legal action in the courts where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you placed your order is the one that applies to that order.
