About the condition
These tiles were saved from a home in Spain, so they may show small marks from their years on a wall. The photos show this exact lot.
About this lot
Original salvaged 100 year old Art nouveau tile. Beautiful hand painted Spanish tile depicting delicate pink, burgundy and yellow flowers. Each tile was individually hand painted, they are all slightly different. Background in white.
Made in Spain, in the Valencia area in the early 1900. The base is red clay and they have a beautiful subdued shine. Some signs of wear but still beautiful and useful! Please see pictures for reference. These tiles were made over 100 years ago!!
The edges are somewhat raw, it looks as if the previous owner had cut some of the upper and lower part of the tile, I have more pieces cut in the same way.
These glossy tiles will make a very special wall art gift to decorate an entry room, bathroom or bedroom. Can be hanged on a wall by adding a small adhesive hook or placed on a tile rack to display on a shelf
This listing is for 1 tile. There is a separate listing for 4 tiles also combined with other tiles to create a beautiful art nouveau style backsplash.
MORE PIECES MAY BE AVAILABLE, please contact us for a quote on several tiles in the same or different styles.
The tiles measure 20 cm x 18 cm approx. 8 in x 7 in
What is Art Nouveau & Deco?
Curving plants, flowers and geometric fans from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco years, about 1900 to 1930. Some are antique and painted by hand; others are later tiles in that style.
