About the condition
These tiles were never fixed to a wall, but they have spent decades in boxes. Small chips at the corners and slight changes in the glaze are possible. The photos show this exact lot.
About this lot
9 pc set. 70s vintage tiles from Spain. Original vintage new old stock (unused) tiles from the early 70s , made using red clay. Typically 70s geometric floral design in brown, and green on a creamy beige speckled background. Can be placed in different directions to create alternative designs.
These tiles come from a private home and are the remnants of a renovation project of the 1970s. Although new, due to the time that has passed since they were manufactured, there may be some small chips of paint around the corners, we will send a picture of the chosen tiles before shipping.
Can be hanged on a wall by adding a small adhesive hook or placed on a tile rack to display on a shelf or of course they can be used as "tiles"

Made by Spanish manufacturer Saloni in the province of Castellón. The factory was established in 1971 and is still active today.

What is Fat Lava?
Fat Lava is the name collectors gave to the thick, bubbly glazes of the 1960s and 70s. The glaze stands up from the tile like cooled lava, so each one catches the light a little differently. Here you will also find heavy brutalist tiles with deep texture and marbled glazes.
