About this lot

9 pc set. 70s vintage tiles from Spain. 3 GREEN tiles with the embossed circle and 6 printed tiles . They are all original vintage UNUSED tiles from the early 70s , made using red clay. Typically 70s geometric fat lava design. Some have small chips at the sides due to the 50 years that passed since they were made. This can be much camouflaged after grouting. Please look at pictures for reference.

Each tile measures 15 x 15 cm ( just under 6 in)

These tiles are unused , we choose the best looking tiles but they may have some very small chips on the paint along the sides and corners. Please see pictures for reference.

Made by Spanish manufacturer EL CLOT, in the province of Castellón.

More pieces may be available, please contact us for availability and a quote on several tiles in the same or different styles. We have many beautiful vintage tiles in vibrant colors to create the most special backsplash, table or whatever you imagine. Same style also available in purple.

What is Fat Lava?

Fat Lava is the name collectors gave to the thick, bubbly glazes of the 1960s and 70s. The glaze stands up from the tile like cooled lava, so each one catches the light a little differently. Here you will also find heavy brutalist tiles with deep texture and marbled glazes.

How many tiles do I need?

One 15 cm tile covers 0.0225 m², so a square metre takes about 45 tiles. Measure your wall and ask us: we can put several lots together.
